For this meet up of the newsroom we got more familiar of the tools that a citizen journalist uses in their daily lives. We have learned the importance of how to use a mobile phone as a great tool to report and to save evidence.
Even though we have seen journalists that carry or possess equipment that is very professional our youth understood that even with a simple digital camera or a mobile phone the news can be delivered in a professional and believable way.
We used tripods, tried the microphones needed for interviews and shared tips and tricks on how to effectively use these features.
Only practice makes but we know that the youth has the basic skills and understanding to use these equipment to their best.
