We complain that Albania do
esn’t export enough… but when it comes to exporting young people, no one beats us.
From 2023 to 2024 alone, the population aged 0–29 dropped by 29,300 — that’s a whole municipality like Kavaja gone.
The 20–29 age group? 12,800 fewer people — say goodbye to your workforce.
In Lezhë, the number of high school students fell from 1,793 in 2020 to only 1,319 in 2024.
At least there won’t be fights over computer lab seats — and even the line at the fast food places will be shorter.
What about graduates? In 2025, there will be 4,000 fewer than in 2022. Even the exam graders will have less headache.
This is our Albania: emptying schools, youth leaving… but hey, good news — finally, we’re first at something!
