Who is really paying for public education?
The results from our survey on public education in Lezha raise important questions about transparency in schools and the kind of support that should come from state institutions and dedicated budgets to cover these expenses.
📊 According to our findings:
66.1% of students reported that their parents pay a certain amount of money at the start or during the school year to cover school needs.
33.9% said this does not happen in their case.
These numbers show that, even though public education is meant to be free, many families still face hidden costs that place an extra burden on their household budgets.
This is yet another piece of the puzzle we are building to reveal the real situation of education — and to push for meaningful change.
