The Web & Graphic Design course focused on one of the most essential foundations of CSS: the Box Model and Basic Layout Structure in Web Design. Students were introduced to the Box Model, a core concept that explains how every HTML element behaves like a “box” made up of content, padding, border, and margin. Understanding this model helps learners grasp spacing, alignment, and the visual structure of every part of a webpage.
The session continued with an exploration of basic layout building; how to position div elements on a page, how to structure key website sections such as the header, content area, and footer, and how to properly center elements. Students also experimented with display: flex to see how it supports more organized and modern layouts. In the practical portion, participants built boxes using padding, borders, and margins, created simple page structures with div elements, and applied Flexbox to align content side-by-side in a clean and professional way.
