While HTML provides the basic structure of a page, CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) is the language that brings it to life by adding color, typography, spacing, and the clean design we expect from modern websites. This session gave students their first look into how visual presentation is created on the web.

During the lesson, participants lea

rned:
 How basic CSS syntax works
The different ways to link CSS to an HTML file
The main types of selectors – element, class, ID, and the universal selector
Essential styling properties such as colors, backgrounds, text formatting, fonts, and decorations
How to use comments in CSS to describe and organize code

In the practical part of the session, students styled paragraphs, headings, and other elements, experimenting with colors, text sizes, font families, alignments, and various decorative effects. They began to see how small styling changes can completely transform a webpage’s look and feel.
