In this session of the Web & Graphic Design course, participants were introduced to Adobe Illustrator, one of the most important programs for creating vector graphics widely used in logos, illustrations, posters, and brand visual identities.
During the session, students learned:
• What vector graphics are and why they maintain quality when scaled up or down
• How to create new projects in Illustrator and configure documents for print or web designs
• How to use essential tools such as Selection Tool, Pen Tool, Type Tool, and Shape Tools to build shapes, text, and objects
• How to group, align, and distribute objects, maintaining order and visual organization within a design
• The importance of saving and exporting in formats like AI, PDF, SVG, PNG, and JPEG for various uses
To reinforce these skills, participants completed practical exercises creating logos and basic shapes, combining colors, text, and vector elements to develop professional and creative projects.
