Thanks to the collaboration of H.A.N.A with the playwright Vladimir Doda and the school Lezha Academic Center, we staged for Lezha public, for the first time, a theatrical performance with 8 young girls as actors.
The title of the play comes from the first example of femicide (according to Greek mythology). The playwright encouraged the girls to reflect on the dominance of patriarchal nuances and the presence of a mentality that tends to exclude Albanian girls and women in many ways. Thus, “Apollo’s Re-education” was born.
Myth is a legend that has its roots in our distant past. As an anonymous narrative, it sums up a profound wisdom or an intuition about the tragic nature of the human condition. Also, from another point of view, the myth is inferior and belongs to an archaic culture. However, myth is also an original fact that motivates or shapes, unfortunately. The theatrical part was welcomed and received very positive reviews from the audience. The show will be presented to the public again in the future on a tour, the dates and destinations of which will be announced soon.
