Today we started the experience with the club ‘Be a Man’ as a long journey already, not just 4 months as in the piloting we did in 2020. In the 1st meeting of this year, in the club “Be a Man” we discussed with high school students Zejmen on cycles of violence and its gender-based approach. Media and social media were discussed as an influential factor in the perception of violence against women as “normal” due to the many cases we encounter every day. The outcome of the discussions led us to recommend men and boys as a key factor in changing the mentality of gender-based violence and as the starting point of education against it.
