Every May 9 marks the anniversary of Schuman’s historic declaration that marked the creation of the European Coal and Steel Community, the predecessor of the European Union as we know it today.
The EU delegation in Albania concludes the Europe week on 26 May ’23 and, although Lezha was not part of the tour stops for this event, we dedicated our efforts to the message of a Europe enabling peace in a challenging period for humanity.
In the center of Lezha, we stationed our “European Union & Albania” exhibition and talked with many curious, enthusiastic but also skeptical visitors and passers-by. And of course, we also promoted the contribution of H.A.N.A center for youth aware and contributing to their European identity.
Our political education program with an emphasis on European Integration which is in its 4th edition with a record number of participants of 44 young people, is our most substantial contribution to the message of a united Europe under the EU logo.
