Info

This group has activism at its heart and a clear mission: demand transparency, challenge the norms, and drive change. Our main cause is education, and we are closely examining how local municipalities and relevant institutions address—or fail to address—the issues young people have identified in schools.

Our latest request was simple: a lawful response to our inquiry about school budgets. Unfortunately, the reply we received was vague and avoided answering our core questions. We want to know how the municipality allocates resources for schools and what the specific budget is for each school.

While the answers remain elusive, we are not backing down. We will continue to press for further clarifications and escalate our efforts to higher institutions if transparency continues to be ignored.

An inspiring example of activism in action comes from Arilda Lleshi, a passionate activist from Lezha. She shared her courageous fight against environmental pollution caused by a politically backed factory. Through her persistence, the factory was fined 20 million lek and ordered to suspend operations—though enforcement is still lacking.

These stories fuel our determination to overcome barriers and pursue justice, transparency, and positive change.

This intervention is supported by the BAT Monitor Program (Budget Accountability and Transparency), implemented by the Institute for Democracy and Mediation (IDM) and funded by the European Union .
Through this, we aim to emphasize once again that H.A.N.A is deeply committed to raising awareness among young people about their rights and responsibilities to influence the addressing of common challenges in the community.
