Minors raped by people who belong to the circle of faith, in a context where the family was what was preached as “holy”.
Through the club, young people are taught to recognize and give importance to the obstacles they encounter, to share experiences and develop empathy, to understand what it’s like to be in the role of the impossible and have someone dictate how you should live, to dress, who to hang out with and to keep your mouth shut so as not to say what bothers you.
The Behu Burrë club has not remained only in the context of meetings with young people, but has further expanded into joint reactions with activist groups that promote gender equality and essentially human rights!
The rights of girls and women are not separate from human rights. Asking young people to become men is asking them to love life and promote being equal and human.
Activism takes place where your peers are, where voices are raised and issues are addressed, in informative-awareness meetings, marches and protests.
