HANA is a partner in the implementation of the joint intervention with the Albanian Center for Quality Journalism, called “Media education as a cornerstone in combating disinformation among Lezha youth” and we consider it important for our young people to develop soft skills in media education at the age of pre-university education.
This is because it is necessary for young people to be wiser consumers of media and responsible producers of their own media products.
With mentor, journalist and lecturer Zylyftar Bregu, 15 young people from Zejmen United High School are being equipped with soft critical and evaluative skills to defend themselves in the critical era of “Fake News”.
Thus, we are building a tradition of media education among Lezha youth. Although it is not a deliberate approach to formal education curricula, we appreciate & are grateful for the cooperation of Lezha educational institutions (DRAP Lezha & ZVA Lezha) to expose young people to non-formal learning opportunities coming from CSOs with media expertise.
