The purpose of this session was to raise awareness among members to reflect on the ways we communicate and demonstrate power with our behaviors. Gerta, our coach, pointed out that there are different types of relationships in which one person can have more power over the other person. Inequalities of power in these relationships can cause one person to treat the other as an object.
Gender relations were among the main illustrative examples.
It is curious how the boys of the club think that a girl / woman can not be successful and function as a complete human being without a boy / man by her side, but a boy / man can do all these things without a girl/woman by his side. Some girls thought that as well!
