The exhibition “Re: waste – How Sweden is rethinking resources?” has made a long journey since the opening day @H.A.N.A
In 7 weeks thanks to Re: waste, 3120 children and youth as well as over 200 teaching staff were exposed to the information contained by the exhibition’s panels, the case study of Sweden for waste reuse. We were in 6 schools of Lezha, 4 in the city and 2 in rural areas. As well as 4 other schools came to us when the exhibition was in the base, at its starting point.
We are grateful to the Embassy of Sweden in Tirana and Svenska institutes for their cooperation and for entrusting us to bring Re:waste here and for the first time in the Western Balkans.
H.A.N.A Centre will continue to focus on work on environmental issues, especially those related to waste management.
We also thank the Municipality of Lezha for the first steps taken and for the commitment they have given to put attention to this cause during the exhibition launch.
It is a long journey but totally achievable as Sweden showed us. What cannot be negotiated any longer is the determination and especially the need to immediately start improving the success indicators regarding waste resources. It’s H.A.N.A’s mission already!
