We started testing the youth clubs “Be a Man”, part of the manual “Program Y – Youth”. Soon, this manual will be extended to 2 schools in Lezha thanks to the fruitful cooperation of H.A.N.A Youth Center with the Local Education Office! We conducted an open class to learn more about the club and the values it addresses! The Y program, for high school educators and youth workers, is a product of the “Young Men Initiative” undertaken by Care International and partners in the Balkans. H.A.N.A Youth Center brings it to Lezha from the cooperation with the organization “Act for Society”, the Albanian partner in the implementation of the initiative. The curriculum “Program Y” is designed to promote critical reflection of gender norms that promote violence and other unhealthy behaviors.
