According to our survey on public education in Lezha, nearly half of students (48.2%) reported that they often face cases of violence — whether verbal, physical, or bullying.
30.4% said it happens, but rarely.
14.3% have only heard of such cases.
Only 7.1% said they have never experienced or heard of violence in school.
These numbers are a clear indication that violence in school environments is a phenomenon that cannot be ignored. Education must be a safe space for every student — a place where they can learn and grow without fear.
Neglecting, dismissing, or downplaying these cases can lead to serious consequences, including loss of life, psychological and social harm, and many other long-term challenges for young people. This shows that addressing violence in schools is not just an administrative duty — it is a vital priority for the safety and development of future generations.
The time has come for everyone — teachers, parents, and institutions — to work together to prevent and address every form of violence in schools. Concrete measures must be put in place to ensure this issue is treated with the seriousness it deserves within the education system.
