The bins for disposable plastic are already put to use by some schools in the city and near the Municipality of Lezha.
Disposable plastic is used only once before disposal, and in the best case it can be recycled.
Worldwide only 10 – 13% of plastic items are recycled. Meanwhile in our city this percentage does not reach double digits. These bins are set to contribute to increasing this percentage.
It is clear that we need to use less plastic, move towards environmentally sustainable products and services, and find methods for collecting and recycling plastic as efficiently as possible.
With the help of the working groups that were set up with the students in each school it became possible to paint them and the last necessary arrangements.
