In this session of the Web & Graphic Design course, participants continued exploring Adobe Illustrator, focusing on some of the most powerful tools for creating and editing shapes, text, and professional designs.
During the session, students learned to use:
• Pathfinder – to combine, subtract, intersect, or exclude shapes using options like Unite, Minus Front, Intersect, and Exclude, enabling the creation of unique forms and creative logos.
• Magic Wand Tool – for quickly selecting objects with similar colors or attributes, allowing efficient modifications in complex designs.
• Lasso Tool – for precise selection of anchor points and shape segments.
• Pen Tool – for creating straight and curved lines to build custom shapes and professional vector paths.
• Type Tools – for adding and modifying text using the Type Tool, Area Type Tool, Type on a Path, and Touch Type Tool, allowing the creation of designs with creative textual elements.
Through practical exercises, participants applied these tools to create logos, unique shapes, and typographic designs, experimenting with the flexibility Illustrator offers for visual creativity.
