In this session of the Web & Graphic Design course, participants were introduced to the basic components of graphic design – colors, fonts, and images – learning how these elements interact to create harmonious and professional designs.
During the session, students explored:
• Color Palettes – the theory of color, harmonious combinations, and the psychological impact of colors
• Fonts and Typography – the importance of choosing the right typefaces for visual identity and brand messaging
• Images and Visual Quality – understanding the difference between raster and vector graphics, the importance of resolution, and using high-quality image sources
Another key focus of the session was Canva, where participants applied design theory in practice. They experimented with colors, fonts, and images to create visual content for social media, bridging the gap between design knowledge and real-world creative applications.
