Young participants of the Anti-Corruption & Electoral Integrity Hackathon gathered at H.A.N.A for the second workshop, an engaging session designed to refine their innovative ideas for raising awareness about electoral integrity. Guided by an expert, the participants explored various media tools to effectively communicate the importance of fair elections and well-informed voters.
The day began with an introduction and presentation of ideas, where each group shared their initial concepts for combating corruption and strengthening electoral transparency. Through expert-led discussions, they received valuable insights on how to improve and implement their initiatives.
A significant portion of the workshop was dedicated to group work, where participants collaborated to develop their projects using diverse communication mediums, including social media campaigns, infographics, videos, and podcasts. One group, in particular, focused on launching a podcast dedicated to promoting electoral integrity. As part of their project, they visited the recording facilities where the podcast will be produced, assessing the technical and logistical requirements for its successful execution.
Beyond the hands-on activities, the workshop fostered a collaborative atmosphere where participants exchanged ideas, addressed challenges, and refined their strategies. The session concluded with a presentation of each group’s progress, followed by constructive feedback from both the expert and fellow participants. The event wrapped up with a discussion on the next steps, ensuring that each team had a clear direction for further developing their projects.
This workshop marked a crucial step forward in the hackathon, equipping young change-makers with the knowledge and tools needed to drive impactful awareness campaigns. As the initiative progresses, these projects will play a key role in advocating for transparent and fair electoral processes.
