Why does H.A.N.A publish its implemented projects?

We’ve always said that H.A.N.A. belongs first to Lezha, to the young people who fill our space with ideas, to the families who trust us, and to the community that has watched us grow from a small dream into a voice for youth and accountability. That’s why we believe you deserve to see exactly how we work, how we spend, and what we’ve built together. We have opened everything, our finances, audits, project reports, and annual updates, for anyone to read. We have nothing to hide and everything to share, because every euro, every hour, every effort exists for you and with you. To our supporters, past and future, this is our way of saying: thank you for believing in a small grassroots team that dares to do big things for our city.

Y.E.S (Young, Eager & Successful) – A Call for Action

Objectives: Youth of Lezha share a social and professional identity which positively impacts the labour market policies in Lezha while; enhancing participation opportunities; strengthening cooperation and infrastructure for youth development and targeting social unrest affecting youth.

Winter school – 1st Edition

Grant size: 5,000 €
Objectives: : The amount of 5.000,00 EUR is designated as a contribution to assist the work of the beneficiary to raise awareness and interest of young people for local, national and European policy making. These activities will focus on: Activities, (such as a Winter School in Politics an Democracy and other seminars, workshops), intended to strengthen active participation in public affairs and to generate interest in the development of local, national and European policies, building on the perspective, that progress towards better democracies and rapprochement towards the values and standards of the European Union is best ensured when young generations embrace the need for information and engagement in local, national and European policy making. Activities, seminars, workshops aimed at increasing employment opportunities for young people in Albania and countering thus the brain drain of the Albanian youth.

The Ecosystem of Love for the Environment

Objectives: Civic education on responsible use of plastic and the establishment of a functional recycling system through youth activism and media/artistic instruments in Lezha.

Winter school – 3rd Edition

Objectives: This project is a scale up of the winter school that H.A.N.A implemented with the support of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. The curricula for these inclusive non-formal learning classes will be based above all on the values and standards of the European Union as enshrined in the Treaties but also on major topics under consideration in the European court of human rights with special attention on fighting hate speech and intolerance and promoting diversity, democracy and rule of law. Leading experts in these fields will be approached to contribute to the quality of the interventions.

Objectives: Increasing the awareness of the local population, but also of CSOs, on the potential of the project, the training modules built, their further application.
Overseeing the day-to-day development of the project, ensuring the availability of premises, finding and collaborating with the initial beneficiaries of the project as well as the implementation and on-site monitoring of the calendar of activities.
Develop and advance reporting on the progress of the project, ensuring the avoidance of any unnecessary or problematic delays arising from the current situation under COVID-19.
Organize meetings with the youth of the Lezha community in its premises, to reveal the most important information about the project, objectives, goals, activities, etc.

rethinking resources ?

Objectives: The overall goal of bringing “Re:Waste” in Lezhë was the continuation of H.A.N.A’s work in efficient waste management practices through familiarization with the Swedish model that shows the path to a functional model of circular economy through recycling and reusing waste produced from the population, for reflection and adaption purposes from the Municipality of Lezhë. Also, an important objective that derives from the goal is the information and awareness of as many youth and professionals as possible that the narrative shared until that point that Lezhë Municipality cannot do recycling and waste management cycle is not accurate as it takes willingness and investment of institutional efforts only.

Winter school – 3rd Edition

Objectives: Participant youth reflect increased and clear understanding of the entirety of steps required to Albania for fulfilment of the negotiation phase and the role they need to play to contribute to the advancement of the process in local and national level. The projects ensures that participant youth enjoy a satisfying and fulfilling time that combines theoretical learning with practical hands-on experience through direct contact with legally mandated institutions about the country’s accession and other similar actions.

Winter school – 4th Edition

Objectives: Youth of Albania create a sense of belonging that allows them to identify with the European values at the heart of the European Union community, thus advancing the country’s sharing of values, principles, rights and duties that unite all European citizens with Europe.

Objectives: Touring the exhibition throughout 6 new locations (schools, community centres and city squares in Lezhë in a period of 3 months (April ‘23 – June ’23) to reach 3 villages/city square displays and schools’ tours across 2 Administrative Units and run a petition of at least 320 individuals that shares people’s request to Lezhë Municipality to include waste sorting and recycling practices in the local plan of integrated waste management yearly plan of actions.

Objectives: Data collection and analysis will identify the actors driving youth emigration and assess the government’s response and stance. Our findings will be compiled into a comprehensive report to raise awareness about the challenges faced by Albanian youth; We will organize a well-coordinated protest to advocate for government policies supporting youth development and combating corruption. The protest aims to mobilize youth, civil society, and stakeholders, amplifying their voices for meaningful policy changes.

Objectives: Objective 1 aims to empower Albanian youth for active civic engagement and ethical citizenship within the EU integration context through transformative educational experiences like the Winter School on EU Integration, Town Hall Forums, and Public Debates. Objective 2 focuses on empowering youth as guardians against corruption through a Hackathon and Integrity Toolkits, fostering creativity and providing resources to combat corruption and uphold transparency. Objective 3 is dedicated to fostering youth entrepreneurship and employability for sustainable societal impact through masterclasses, vocational courses on ICT skills, and a competition for eco-friendly entrepreneurship ideas, aiming to ignite an entrepreneurial mindset, enhance employability, and promote sustainable development.
