Movie afternoon in the company of good friends of H.A.N.A. The movie we saw this time was “Life is Beautiful (La vita è Bella)”, a masterpiece by Roberto Benigni.
The historical context is that of the Holocaust, the year is 1939. A father trying to protect his child at all costs and consequences from the evils of the death camps of Nazi Germany. Through humor, not to give comic tones to the film making the audience laugh but to spare Giosue (his son) the trauma of the truth (that they were in a death camp waiting to die), Guido (father) manages to turn the terrible situation in a game for the son.
