H.A.N.A is collaborating for the second time with the @Embassy of Sweden in Albania to emphasize Sweden’s way of managing urban waste, through the “Re:Waste” exhibition.
The exhibition is currently on tour, first across schools and after to be stationed in other key locations in Lezha.
The first stop was at the Lezha Academic Center school, through an initial opening ceremony with our presence, the school’s leadership and students and teachers. For 1 week, over 200 children, young people and teaching staff were able to familiarize themselves with the Re:Waste model.
Sweden has built a remarkable model of waste re-use by sending an impressive amount of only 1% of it to landfills and meeting, among other things, half of the population’s needs for electricity from it (waste) alone.
We are thankful to Lezha Academic Center Official for the fruitful and unreserved cooperation recognizing the added value of our programs in Lezha.
