Free and fair elections are the foundation of any functioning democracy.
However, in our country, practices such as vote buying, electoral process manipulation, and pressure on voters continue to pose a serious challenge to the integrity of elections.
These phenomena do not only affect election outcomes, but also have direct consequences on citizens’ lives: loss of trust in institutions, poor governance, lack of quality public services, and a general decline in well-being.
